Our Father, Pope Leo XVI, has proclaimed a special Jubilee Year to honor St. Francis of Assisi and the 800th year of his passing into eternal life. This Jubilee Year has been underway since January 10, 2026 and it is to conclude January 10, 2027. Bishop Daniel Felton has written a letter so that we may make full use of this special grace given to the Universal Church, our Diocese and to each of us. You can celebrate the Marking of 800 years since the death of St. Francis of Assisi (October 3, 1226 - October 3, 2026) by completing a pilgrimage and ask for a "plenary indulgence" for someone you love. A list of pilgrimages being celebrated in the Diocese of Duluth are listed on the poster here.
